When talking about CBD products that are packed with a variety of hemp-derived cannabinoids and terpenes…

Literally, all of Receptra Naturals’ products make it to the top of the list.

Compared to other options on the list, tinctures from Receptra Naturals contain:

  • A wider spectrum of both cannabinoids and terpenes, and;
  • Higher concentrations of most cannabinoids and terpenes.

As a full-spectrum CBD oil, any oil from Receptra Naturals is king. Their hemp extract has almost the same biochemical composition as the hemp plants it’s made from. It’s as close to nature as it gets.

If you get the Serious Relief Tincture 66mg/Dose, for every 1mg of CBD, you get at least 0.16mg of other hemp-derived cannabinoids and terpenes.

This number is even higher with their other formulations “Serious Rest” (0.38mg of other hemp-derived cannabinoids and terpenes for every 1mg of CBD) and “Seriously Relax” (0.55mg of other hemp-derived cannabinoids and terpenes for every 1mg of CBD).

Besides a high concentration of CBD, it has very high concentrations of:

  • Other cannabinoids like THC, CBC, CBG, and;
  • Terpenes like linalool, limonene, caryophyllene…

…all of which are associated with unique beneficial effects.

When you take into account the sophisticated cultivation and extraction processes such a cannabinoid- and terpene-packed hemp-extract needs …

Receptra Naturals tinctures are highly affordable.

A single dollar will get you 15.5mg of CBD (average: 13.46mg), and 18mg of hemp extract (average: 16.19mg). ‘Hemp extract’ includes all other cannabinoids and terpenes. As you can see, even though this tincture has the best cannabinoid- and terpene-profile of all options on the list, it’s still more affordable than the average product.

The level of transparency that comes from Receptra Naturals is also at the highest level.

Based on its batch-number, you can look up the certificate of analysis of your Receptra Naturals tincture online …

And have third-party-verified proof that it’s completely clean from:

  • Heavy metals;
  • Pesticides, and;
  • Residual solvents.

This is the highest level of transparency you can expect from a CBD brand.

And if you want to try the product for 30 days without risking your money, rest assured that this product comes with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.

NuLeaf Naturals is another US-, Colorado-based CBD products manufacturer.

They only sell full-spectrum hemp extracts.

With a full-spectrum-ratio of 0.13, for every 1mg of CBD, you get 0.13mg of other hemp-derived cannabinoids and terpenes, including:

  • THC (0.14%);
  • CBG (0.18%);
  • CBC (0.26%), and;
  • Terpenes like beta-caryophyllene and alpha-humulene (0.25%).

While its cannabinoid-profile isn’t as good as the Receptra Naturals tinctures or Charlotte’s Web Original Formula, it’s still better than almost all other CBD products that we’ve reviewed.

This oil is made from organically grown hemp and contains nothing but hemp. It’s the purest , simplest, and most natural option on the list. Even the carrier oil, which is organic virgin hemp seed oil, is a hemp-based carrier oil.

Unless you buy their biggest bottle that contains 6000mg of CBD…

When we look at how much CBD and hemp-extract you get per dollar, this product is more expensive than the average.

When you get the 900mg bottle and use our coupon code, a single dollar gets you 11.36mg of CBD and 13mg of hemp extract. Compared to the average of 13.68mg of CBD per dollar and 16.19mg of hemp extract per dollar, you can see this is a relatively pricey option.

When comparing prices and value, just keep in mind that NuLeaf Naturals is a highly trustworthy and highly-rated CBD brand.

Their oil has received over 20.000 customer reviews over the past 5 years with an average rating of 4.9/5 points. These reviews confirm that NuLeaf Naturals sells a great quality oil and offers great customer service.

Of course, like all products on this list, it’s third-party lab-tested for the most critical contaminants:

  • 200 different pesticides;
  • Heavy metals, and;
  • Mycotoxins.

If you get this oil you can rest assured that it’s a clean product that works.

True full-spectrum CBD products generally are expensive.

The hemp plant that serves as the basis of a full-spectrum CBD product needs to have:

  • A wide variety of cannabinoids and terpenes, and;
  • High concentrations of all these different cannabinoids and terpenes.

This means that cheap hemp strains with inferior cannabinoid- and terpene-profiles don’t make good candidates for full-spectrum CBD products. This also means that the stalks and stems of a hemp plant don’t make the best foundation for high-quality full-spectrum products. The flower parts of the hemp plant contain significantly more cannabinoids and terpenes than the stalks and stems.

But this also means that a full-spectrum CBD product NEEDS to come from a pesticide-free hemp plant cultivated in contaminant-free soil .

For a full-spectrum CBD product to keep all its cannabinoids and terpenes it can’t undergo an extensive filtering process.

If it does, it might lose cannabinoids and terpenes, and therefore it would cease to be true ‘full-spectrum’.

The downside of this limited filtering process is:

You’re also limited with filtering out contaminants.

While heavily filtered or low-quality CBD products can use leftover parts of low-quality hemp plants as their source…

A high quality and full-spectrum CBD product NEEDS to come from a clean source.

All these factors contribute to the fact that they’re the most expensive type of CBD products.

Well, R+R Medicinals proves it’s possible to have full-spectrum CBD oil for a very modest price.

This is not only the most affordable full-spectrum option on the list …

It’s the most affordable one in general, period.

If you get their strongest bottle of 2500mg, a single dollar gets you 25.7mg of CBD and 28.5mg of hemp extract. This is almost double the average in both cases.

Combine this superb price/quality ratio with a transparency-level that matches other premium CBD brands:

Full lab-test reports available on their website for every batch of oil they produce …

And you’ll quickly understand why we rate this oil as the best value for money option on the list.

#4. Charlotte’s Web Original Formula CBD Oil (Second-Best Full-Spectrum Oil)

  • Product-type: Oil |

  • CBDV(%): 0.03 |
  • Terpene(%): 0.2 |
  • Other Cannabinoids: CBC(0.38%), CBG(0.23%), CBN(0.01%), CBDA(0.01%), CBDV(0.03%) |
  • Terpenes: Unknown, but must be high (ethanol-extracted) |
  • Price(CBD/$1): 14.7 mg |
  • Price(unit): $ 102 |
  • Extract-type: full-spectrum |
  • Satisfaction Guarantee: 30 days |
  • 3th-Party Lab-Tested: Yes |
  • Price-category: Mid-cost
Pros and Cons
  • One of the best full-spectrum products
  • Charlotte’s Web controls the complete production process, including how the hemp plants are grown
  • Consistent cannabinoid- and terpene-profiles between batches
  •  No terpene test
Check current price at:

Price comparison to averages

By now you can start seeing the commonalities between CBD products that we rate as ‘best’.

  • They’re full-spectrum, and;
  • Come from highly transparent brands.

Charlotte’s Web Original Formula is a full-spectrum product of the highest order. For every 1mg of CBD, you get 0.19mg of other hemp-derived cannabinoids and terpenes, including:

  • THC;
  • CBC;
  • CBG, and;
  • Terpenes.

Just like Receptra Naturals tinctures, this product is made with help of ethanol-extraction. Ethanol-extraction is the best extraction method for extracting cannabinoids and especially volatile compounds like terpenes and flavonoids.

Keeping all other variables the same, including the hemp strain, ethanol-extracted CBD products make for the best full-spectrum products because they contain the widest variety of hemp-derived compounds in the highest concentrations.

Keep in mind that Charlotte’s Web sells different types of oils, but only one of them is ethanol-extracted, the: “Original Formula”.

But that’s not all that this product has going for it…

Charlotte’s Web is one of the only CBD product manufacturers that FULLY control the whole production process:

From planting the seed in clean fertile soil to the final drops of oil that end up under your tongue …

Any Charlotte’s Web product is subject to 20 (!) different quality control tests before it reaches you.

The results of the most important ones are publicly available on their website.

Another benefit of buying a product from a brand that controls every part of the production process is:

You’ll always get the exact same product .

Most brands use many different hemp strains to produce a batch of CBD oil.

And while the CBD-content of these products is usually consistent …

The overall cannabinoid- and terpene-profiles can differ widely between batches, and even between different bottles from the same batch.

Why does this matter?

Well, when the complete cannabinoid-profile differs every batch, there’s a chance you’ll experience slightly different effects with every bottle that you buy.

With Charlotte’s Web, you never have to worry about inconsistencies in potencies and effects between different batches/different bottles.

You’ll get the same cannabinoid-profile every batch. They always use the same hemp strain for their products: the “Charlotte’s Web” hemp strain.

#5. CBDfx Calming Tincture 1000mg (Best CBN-Rich Oil)

  • Product-type: Oil |
  • CBD: 1000mg or 3.2% |
  • THC: ND |
  • CBD(%): 3.2 |
  • THC(%): 0 |
  • CBG(%): 0 |
  • CBC(%): 0 |
  • CBN(%): 0.46 |
  • CBDA(%): 0 |
  • CBDV(%): 0 |
  • Terpene(%): 0 |
  • Other Cannabinoids: CBN(0.46%) |
  • Terpenes: Unknown |
  • Price(CBD/$1): 14.28 mg |
  • Price(unit): $ 70 |
  • Extract-type: broad-spectrum |
  • Satisfaction Guarantee: 30 days |
  • 3th-Party Lab-Tested: Yes |
  • Price-category: Mid-cost
Pros and Cons
  • High-levels of CBN, in addition to CBD
  •  Good value
  • Doesn’t contain other cannabinoids than CBD and CBN
  • Supposedly contains terpenes-complex, but no terpene test to show
Check current price at:

Price comparison to averages

If you’re looking for a product that has a stronger sedative effect than regular CBD products…

CBDfx Calming Tincture could be a good option for you.

This product is a combination of two cannabinoids:

  • CBD, and;
  • CBN.

Many of the health benefits of CBN and CBD overlap. The main difference in effects between these two cannabinoids is that CBN is a stronger sedative and therefore has better potential benefits for insomnia and sleep disorders.

While this product also should contain a terpene-complex, there’s no lab-test to show any terpenes, therefore we take these types of statements with a big grain of salt.

Because this product contains no THC but does contain at least one type of other hemp-derived compounds (CBN), we categorize it as ‘broad-spectrum’.

Value-wise, you get decent value for your money. A single dollar gets you 14.28mg of CBD and 16.5mg of hemp extract. Both value-metrics are right around the average.

Like you would expect from a quality CBD products supplier, CBdfx tests all of its products for potency and contaminants.

You can find the test reports on their website on each product page.

CBDfx is also one of the few brands that provide a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on all of their products.

You just have to send your product back to them and pay for shipping costs.

The bottom line:

If you’re looking for a product with a stronger sedative effect than the average, get this product.

#6. Joy Organics CBD Oil Tincture 45mg/Serving (Best THC-Free, Broad-Spectrum Oil)

  • THC: ND |
  • CBD(%): 5.02 |
  • THC(%): 0 |
  • CBG(%): 0.13 |
  • CBC(%): 0 |
  • CBN(%): 0 |
  • CBDA(%): 0 |
  • CBDV(%): 0 |
  • Terpene(%): 0.52 |
  • Other Cannabinoids: CBG(0.21%), |

  • Price(unit): $ 83 |
  • Extract-type: broad-spectrum |
  • Satisfaction Guarantee: 30 days |
  • 3th-Party Lab-Tested: Yes |
  • Price-category: Mid-cost
Pros and Cons
  •  Best broad-spectrum (THC-free) oil
  • Contains a good amount of CBG
  •  Certified USDA organic
  • Doesn’t contain other cannabinoids than CBD and CBG
  • Inconsistent cannabinoid and terpene profiles across products and batches

Although full-spectrum hemp-extracts are best for potency…If you don’t want to ingest ANY THC because of potential drug-tests for example …

These types of products are out.

Full-spectrum CBD products always contain some THC.

So what to do if you want a THC-free CBD oil, with additional hemp-derived compounds that synergize with CBD?

You get an oil from Joy Organics.

While this broad-spectrum Joy Organics product doesn’t contain as many hemp-derived different cannabinoids and terpenes as all the full-spectrum products on the list (Receptra Naturals, R+R Medicinals, NuLeaf Naturals, and Charlotte’s Web), compared to other THC-free broad-spectrum products, it contains a decent amount of them.

This oil contains 5.02% of CBD and 0.21% of CBG. And if you get a flavored version of the oil, you get a good amount of terpenes as well. Just keep in mind that these are not hemp-derived terpenes, they come from the flavorings and therefore may not act synergistically to CBD.

Important to mention: when we checked the lab-test reports of earlier batches, and batches that came after the batch we’ve tested, we saw differing cannabinoid profiles every time (different CBG and terpene percentages). The most recent lab-test reports don’t even show a terpene test. This might not be the most consistent product on the list in terms of cannabinoid- and terpene-profiles.

Although Joy Organics is a highly transparent company because they have lab-test reports publicly available for all their products and production batches…

We would like to see better consistency when it comes to cannabinoid- and terpene-profiles. Even if the CBD-content is the same, if all other hemp-derived compounds differ every batch, you might still experience different effects.

That being said, when it comes to THC-free broad-spectrum oils, this is still the best one you can get.

Other important things to know about this brand:

  • There’s a ‘USDA Organic certified’ version of the oil;
  • There’s a 30-day happiness-guarantee, but it only includes a partial refund, and;
  • 1000+ customers rated Joy Organics with 5/5 stars in terms of product quality customer service.
